Thank you to the New England Watercolor Society and Janine Gallizia, Selection Jurist, for choosing “Boatyard at Sunset” to be included in this autumn’s Regional Exhibition at the Mosesian Center for the Arts in Watertown, MA. The exhibition will run from Nov. 14, 2025 to Jan. 9, 2026.
Rick Osann has been painting in watercolor since the early 1970's. After various careers as a professional Scenic Artist working for stage, film & TV in New York City, and teaching art/theatre/film at Bonny Eagle High School in southern Maine, Rick is now happily focusing on his painting in Bar Harbor, Maine, one of the beautiful places of our world, in his studio adjacent to Acadia National Park.
Rick is most interested in exploring light, shadow and color in nature through his painting. His work celebrates the beauty of the Maine landscape, on its own or in combination with elements of man's built environment.
Please contact Rick with any questions or interest in commissioning a painting of your favorite landscape or pets.
