Exciting News!

I was thrilled to receive news this week that “Boatyard at Sunset”, my painting of Abel’s Boatyard in Northeast Harbor, has been accepted into the American Watercolor Society 2025 Associate Member Exhibition. This is an online exhibition that runs from June 12 to August 30 at http://www.americanwatercolorsociety.org. American Watercolor Society is one of the premier organizations in the US that supports and promotes watercolor painting around the world. Signature Members of AWS are the true masters of the medium. Associate Members are people like me working to continually improve our skills. Please visit the exhibition to see the work of many watercolor painters from around the world.

  1. Congratulations, Rick! And honor, for sure! Your painting of Abel’s Boatyard is beautiful!
I know exactly where it is because we stopped there for dinner when we were there last August.

By the way, my watercolor instructor, Rick Surowicz, had one of his watercolor paintings, “Tangles” accepted into the Winter exhibit.

It’s nice to have friends in high places! šŸ˜‰

  2. You nailed this baby big time, Rick! It’s complex and beautiful.. Congrats!!
